Welcome to my website! It is my honor to serve as your 18th District state representative. I encourage you to take a moment to learn more about me and how I am serving you in the Legislature.

As a 40-year resident of Clark County, it is truly humbling to have the opportunity to bring the voice and perspectives of so many of my friends and neighbors to Olympia. In speaking with thousands of you from all over the 18th District, you have told me you what you want from your state government.

Our shared priorities include:

  • Keeping taxes low and cutting government waste;
  • Eliminating unnecessary regulations on small businesses;
  • Working on regional transportation solutions and reducing congestion;
  • Strengthening the state's K-12 education system;
  • Protecting your Second Amendment rights; and
  • Supporting policies that lead to increased job creation in the 18th.

I am here to serve you year-round, so please feel free to contact me anytime with your comments, questions or concerns. Additionally, I am always available to meet with you to listen to your ideas and discuss how we can best solve the most pressing issues facing our district and state.

It is an honor to serve you!

My Priorities

Reducing tax burdens and making life more affordable

House Republicans are committed to doing everything we can to make daily life more affordable for you and your family. We have offered compelling operating budget frameworks focused on meeting our state’s needs and reducing your tax burden. For their part, the majority has been intent on passing tax-and-spend operating budgets while refusing to cut taxes – even with a $15 billion budget surplus. Washingtonians deserve tax relief and a balanced budget, not punitive and unnecessary tax increases and unsustainable spending plans.

Empowering parents to help their children succeed in school and in life

Parents matter, which is why we are focused on empowering them to become more involved in their children's education. We believe they have a right to know what is being taught in the classroom and that they deserve the financial and educational flexibility to help their children succeed throughout their educational journey.

Holding the governor and state agencies accountable

The governor and his state agencies have overseen a growing number of failures in recent years, many of which have had devastating consequences for Washington families. House Republicans will continue introducing real solutions to end these failures, improve outcomes, and ensure the same mistakes are not repeated in the future.

Keeping our communities safe

While I believe we must hold law enforcement personnel to the highest possible standard as they serve and protect our communities, I have never supported policies that make it harder for them to do their jobs effectively. If we continue adopting laws that hinder their efforts to take dangerous people off the streets and keep our communities safe, we will continue losing them to other professions. We can't afford for that to happen, which is why House Republicans have introduced bills to fix the majority's misguided laws and support law enforcement agencies throughout the state.
